There are plenty of reasons to sit beneath the picnic shelter at a 400-acre Florida nature park.
Filming adult content for OnlyFans apparently made one man’s list.
Nathan Christopher Aleman, 40, was arrested Saturday after another visitor allegedly found him with his pants down beneath a pavilion at Sawgrass Lake Park in Pinellas County, according to an arrest affidavit described by multiple Florida news outlets.
And then came perhaps the strangest part of the encounter.
The other man confronted Aleman.
Aleman allegedly apologized.
Then, according to deputies, he agreed to stay right there and wait for law enforcement to arrive.
A Park Visitor Apparently Interrupted The Shoot
CBS12 reported, citing a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit, that the witness saw Aleman beneath a park pavilion with his pants down and allegedly touching himself.
The witness confronted him, and deputies said Aleman apologized and agreed to remain at the scene until officers arrived.
Investigators said Aleman acknowledged exposing himself both before and after he was advised of his Miranda rights.
His explanation provided the story’s unusual wrinkle.
Aleman allegedly told the witness and investigators that he had been filming content for OnlyFans when the other park visitor sat down nearby.
FOX 13 reported the encounter happened at Sawgrass Lake Park, with the affidavit identifying the location as 7400 25th Street North.
That address matches the official address for the county park.
Aleman was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of first-offense exposure of sexual organs, according to the reports.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
Sawgrass Lake Is More Nature Preserve Than Film Studio
Sawgrass Lake Park isn’t an anonymous patch of grass tucked beside a highway.
Pinellas County describes it as a 400-acre park containing one of the largest maple swamps on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Its amenities include a boardwalk, nature trail, observation tower, environmental facilities, restrooms and exactly one picnic shelter and grill.
That last amenity has suddenly acquired considerably more narrative importance than county planners probably anticipated.
The park is designed in large part around wildlife viewing. Thousands of birds migrate through the property during the fall and spring, according to the county.
There are also alligators, turtles and other wildlife around the wetlands.
None of them require a subscription.
The county says Sawgrass Lake Park is normally open from 7 a.m. until sunset seven days a week.
That creates a wrinkle in the initial news coverage.
CBS12 reported that Aleman was arrested at around 5 a.m. Saturday, while FOX 13, also citing the sheriff’s office affidavit, placed the incident shortly after 5 p.m.
Because those accounts conflict — and 5 a.m. would fall outside the county’s published park hours — the precise time of the encounter isn’t clear from the available reporting.
What the reports agree on is considerably less ambiguous: a park visitor allegedly encountered Aleman beneath the pavilion, confronted him, and summoned law enforcement.
Florida’s Exposure Law Starts As A Misdemeanor
Florida does not have a separate criminal statute for choosing an exceptionally bad OnlyFans location.
It does have one covering indecent public exposure.
Under Florida Statute 800.03, a person can commit unlawful exposure by exposing sexual organs in public in a vulgar or indecent manner or by being naked in public in such a manner.
A violation is ordinarily a first-degree misdemeanor.
A second or subsequent violation can become a third-degree felony.
The statute also expressly makes clear that simple nudity in a location set aside for that purpose doesn’t violate the law.
A county picnic pavilion is not such a location.
The charge against Aleman is identified in the arrest reporting as first-offense exposure of sexual organs.
The Bystander Changed The Entire Production
The circumstances described by deputies make this considerably different from someone merely recording suggestive content outdoors and later discovering that a passerby wandered into the background.
According to the affidavit reporting, the other visitor allegedly encountered Aleman while Aleman’s pants were down and he was touching himself.
The witness then became an unwilling audience to whatever Aleman allegedly intended to record.
That is the point where a private content-production decision collided with the fact that Sawgrass Lake Park remained a public space.
Aleman’s reported response also makes for an unusual arrest narrative.
There was no alleged foot chase through the maple swamp. No attempt to disappear down the boardwalk. No reported showdown with deputies.

Aleman allegedly apologized.
And then he waited.
Whatever footage was supposed to come out of the trip to Sawgrass Lake Park, an arrest affidavit probably wasn’t on the shot list.
