The rapper Drake recently shared a series of photos on Instagram, including a look at his new ride. He showed off a 1999 Mercedes-Benz G500 that had been heavily modified and now looked more like an open-air safari truck.

Drake posted the photos on October 9, 2026, along with several other pictures that appeared to be from a ranch. In one photo, he is standing beside the tan Mercedes in front of a row of tents, while another gives a closer look at the grille.

The truck was built by California custom shop S-KLUB LA, which started with a 1999 G500 Europa Edition. According to the shop’s website, the body was cut apart and rebuilt into a two-door Safari Edition.

There are a few other interesting things about this particular G-Wagen, including some changes that represent Drake’s music and the OVO brand. The custom Mercedes also had a pretty hefty asking price earlier this year.

The car is on the 11th slide.

Looking at the side of the Mercedes, you can see just how much work went into it. There are only two doors left, and the entire back is now open with metal rails along the sides.

The shop also added a safari rack over the front seats with extra HELLA lights. The G-Wagen was painted desert tan and fitted with wider fenders to match its new body.

S-KLUB LA didn’t leave the inside alone, either. It installed Audison Thesis speakers, DSP Forza amplifiers, and four 10-inch subwoofers, which is quite a bit of stereo equipment for a vehicle that’s missing most of its roof.

Drake’s OVO Owl Takes the Place of Mercedes Logo

The original photos from S-KLUB LA show a regular Mercedes emblem in the middle of the grille. However, in Drake’s pictures, there’s a gold-accented owl in its place, which represents his October’s Very Own brand. The smaller Mercedes star on the hood is still there. Above the windshield, the safari rack has “ICEMAN” written across it, the name of Drake’s 2026 album.

Other photos in the Instagram post show a GMC Typhoon parked beside a Rolls-Royce. Drake also included pictures of horses and different parts of the ranch.

Custom G-Wagen Had a $399,999 Asking Price

It turns out the Mercedes was already for sale in March, long before Drake posted his pictures. According to Backfire News, duPont Registry posted it on March 26 with a $399,999 asking price.

Interestingly, there’s another listing for the Mercedes at Eurocar OC in California. That dealership advertised it for $306,999, and the listing is now marked as sold. There’s no date showing when it was purchased. Eurocar also lists a new engine and transmission, 24-inch HRE wheels, and custom seats. The truck even has a starlight headliner and a rearview camera.

Meanwhile, the G500 is still pictured in the cars-for-sale section of S-KLUB LA’s website. There are several photos and a phone number to contact the shop, but no asking price. Eurocar doesn’t say who bought the Mercedes. Drake didn’t mention a purchase price in his Instagram post, either.
