An older body-camera video showing an investigation into a Circle K employee accused of stealing lottery tickets is circulating across social media again, more than four years after the Dec. 13, 2021 incident.
The footage, recently published by Police Encounters TV, shows an officer responding to the convenience store after a manager reported discovering what appeared to be an internal theft scheme.
The location of the Circle K, the police agency involved and the employee’s identity are not clear from the publicly available video.

The manager told the officer that the employee had taken more than $1,300 worth of lottery tickets and pocketed winnings from tickets she had not purchased.
According to the conversation captured on bodycam, surveillance video showed the employee pulling tickets from rolls, scratching them and scanning them at the store’s lottery machine. Losing tickets were allegedly thrown away, while winning tickets were retained to be cashed.
After speaking with the employee, the officer returned to the manager.
“I just talked to her. She confessed everything,” he said, while explaining that he still wanted to watch the surveillance footage himself before completing the case paperwork.
What the Video Showed
The officer later called his sergeant after reviewing the recording.
He described seeing the employee pull tickets from the rolls, scan them and discard the losing tickets. The lottery machine was short $1,342, although the officer said the store still did not know exactly how much money the employee had received from winning tickets.
Police Encounters TV says the case eventually resulted in three months of probation and no restitution, but the channel does not identify the defendant, court or case number in the video, preventing independent verification of that disposition from the material currently available.
