The Long Drop
The New York Post reported that LAPD said the driver had been traveling northbound on Upper Grand Avenue when he veered from the roadway. No other vehicles were involved.
The Post reported that video from the scene showed what appeared to be a black sedan overturned with extensive damage to its front end.
One witness described hearing the crash while she was at a nearby ATM.
“I heard something go ‘boom,’” she said, before realizing a car had fallen from the roadway above.
The Los Angeles Fire Department also responded to the scene.
What caused the driver to leave the roadway remained unclear Friday.
