The Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series was designed for places where durability matters considerably more than white leather and luxury-car ambiance. That hasn’t stopped Black Box Custom 4×4 from taking one of Toyota’s famously utilitarian off-roaders and giving it a makeover that looks suspiciously inspired by the Brabus catalog.
Based on a post-facelift 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser LC76 five-door wagon, the Signature Series build comes from Costa Rica-based Black Box 4×4. The company has transformed the truck inside and out while leaving its proven diesel powertrain largely alone.
From the outside, it still looks ready for serious off-road work. Matte baby blue paint, a contrasting white roof, chunky tires, additional lighting, and a lifted suspension make sure nobody will mistake this for a completely pampered showpiece.
Open the door, though, and things get, well, a little weird. Almost everything inside is covered in bright white leather, creating a cabin that feels closer to a wild Brabus G-Class conversion than the hard-working Land Cruiser Toyota originally intended.
Still Looks Ready For The Wilderness
Black Box has retained the LC76’s wonderfully boxy proportions while adding equipment appropriate for a heavily modified 4×4. Body-colored steel bumpers and fender flares complement the baby blue exterior, while a black bull bar dominates the front end.
A snorkel runs up alongside the body, and the roof carries a custom rack equipped with additional LED lighting. Extended towing mirrors add another functional touch to the otherwise highly stylized build.
The Land Cruiser also sits considerably higher than stock thanks to a lifted suspension and heavy-duty shocks. Beadlock-style wheels wrapped in aggressive mud-terrain tires complete the tougher stance.
Electrically deployable side steps have also been installed, which should make climbing into the raised LC76 considerably easier. They are also an early hint that this particular Land Cruiser is trying to combine rugged equipment with luxury touches.
The Interior Is Where Things Get Wild
The exterior is relatively restrained compared with what Black Box has done inside. White leather covers the seats, dashboard, center console, door panels, and seemingly just about every other surface the company could upholster.
Even the headliner follows the white theme. It is a dramatic departure from the simple, durability-focused cabins normally associated with the 70 Series and arguably the biggest reason this build gives off such strong high-dollar G-Class tuner vibes.
Black Box has also fitted an aftermarket Pioneer infotainment display along with a bank of auxiliary switches controlling the truck’s added equipment. The basic architecture remains recognizably Land Cruiser, only buried beneath considerably more luxurious materials.
Keeping all that white leather clean after a muddy off-road adventure could be an adventure of its own.
Toyota’s Diesel Engine Remains Stock
Black Box resisted the temptation to give the LC76 a huge performance upgrade. Under the hood we find Toyota’s 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel producing 201 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and the Land Cruiser’s four-wheel-drive system. For a vehicle intended to remain useful away from pavement, leaving Toyota’s proven mechanical package intact makes plenty of sense.
Black Box has not published a price for this particular Signature Series build, and the vehicle is already marked as reserved. Considering the extensive upholstery, suspension work, accessories, and bespoke exterior treatment, however, it is safe to assume this isn’t your average work-spec Land Cruiser anymore.
A Brabus G-Class it certainly isn’t, yet the inspiration is hard to ignore. Whether bright white leather belongs anywhere near a Land Cruiser 70 Series is another question entirely.
