Most couples have different opinions about cars, whether it’s choosing the family runabout or deciding what belongs in the garage. Danny and Allison Dreyer, however, have taken those personal preferences to an entirely different level.
The husband-and-wife duo behind Dixxon Flannel Co. commissioned two custom 1973 Chevrolets, each reflecting a different personality. One is a supercharged C10 pickup, while the other is a striking K5 Blazer with plenty of performance upgrades of its own.
As revealed by Dixxon Flannel Co. on Facebook, the pair made their debut at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Built through a collaboration involving Arizona Custom Car Design and Granatelli Motorsports, the Chevrolets share plenty of hardware but have very different personalities.
There’s also a little friendly competition involved. Rather than simply displaying their new toys, the couple invited SEMA attendees to vote for their favorite.
His: A Supercharged C10 Called Chasing Gold
Danny’s 1973 C10 packs a 427-cubic-inch LS V8 built by Ochs Performance and topped with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger. A Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic sends power to a Currie nine-inch rear axle, with a GSI chassis providing the foundation.
Arizona Custom Car Design handled the bodywork, while Kolor Koalition helped develop the metallic mint-blue finish. Brown-and-white accents, genuine gold leaf, and gold-plated exterior trim give the truck its distinctive appearance.
Hers: A Purple K5 With LS3 Power

Allison’s 1973 K5 Blazer, appropriately named Sweet Emotion, takes a different approach under the hood. Its Ochs Performance Stage 2 LS3 features a Granatelli Motorsports ZILLA intake manifold, backed by the same Bowler transmission and Currie rear axle.
Unlike the C10, the Blazer rides on a Roadster Shop chassis. Its metallic purple paint contrasts with white sections, subtle ghosted Dixxon logos, and gold-plated trim, including a personalized “Hers” grille emblem.
Flannel Inside, Gold Outside
Both builds incorporate Dixxon’s signature flannel into their interiors, framed by premium Apex Leather upholstery. The C10 features custom bucket seats and a full-length console, while Ciadella Interiors helped create the Blazer’s distinctive cabin.
Modern touches include Dakota Digital instruments, Vintage Air conditioning, and Rockford Fosgate sound systems. Even the matching flannel shirts were part of the project, with designs celebrating each Chevrolet.
A Husband-and-Wife Showdown

The SEMA unveiling was made even more special because it was also the first time Danny and Allison saw their completed Chevrolets. Visitors could vote for their favorite truck using QR codes at the SEMA display, with participants eligible for a $500 Dixxon giveaway. It was a clever way to turn two personal builds into a friendly competition between Danny and Allison.
Whoever wins matters less than the builds themselves, though. Danny and Allison now have two individually tailored Chevrolets that reflect their different tastes, even if neither is likely to admit the other’s truck is better.
