Florida Woman Asks Officer for a Date During DUI Tests, Then Pleads for a Ride Home

Bodycam footage of a 2022 Florida DUI arrest appears in a November 2 upload by Bodycam Exposed TV. A woman asks an officer for help getting out of her car and tells him she was only trying to turn around and get home.

The channel dates the encounter to August 1, 2022. As the officer questions her, she challenges whether he saw her behind the wheel and later asks for a chance to take roadside tests.

A witness gives a different account of how the car ended up there. The officer speaks with people at the scene before asking the woman to take roadside tests.

The recording includes an arrest for suspicion of DUI, but Guessing Headlights could not confirm the woman’s full name or booking details. The outcome of any charges also could not be confirmed.

A Wrong Turn

At the start of the encounter, the woman asks the officer to help her get out of her car. She explains that her GPS brought her down the road and says she fears people nearby are going to hurt her.

After asking for her ID, the officer has her sit in his patrol car while he speaks with people at the scene. One woman directs him to her granddaughters, who she says saw the car arrive.

A witness tells him the driver came “zooming in” and stopped. The driver got out to ask for someone who did not live there, the witness says. She then describes the driver getting back in, driving toward the trees, and slamming on the brakes.

When the officer returns to discuss roadside tests, the driver tells him, “You did not see me in the vehicle.” He agrees that he did not, then asks whether she will take the tests.

She initially says no, and he tells her to turn around. As she asks whether he is arresting her, she changes her answer and asks to take the tests, explaining that she did not understand his request.

Another Question

The officer gives eye-tracking instructions, then uses a yellow road line for a heel-to-toe walk. She has the option to remove her sandals. He then gives instructions for a one-leg stand and a finger-to-nose exercise.

During the walk demonstration, she asks, “Are we going to date after this?” Later, while being instructed to touch her nose, she asks whether he means her right or his and requests the instructions again.

The officer announces the DUI arrest and reads her rights before asking about alcohol. She reports having one tequila pineapple and denies that it left her unable to drive safely.

Asked for a breath sample, she replies, “No, thank you.” The officer warns her that refusing can lead to a license suspension, then asks again. This time, she answers, “I don’t know.”

A deputy searches her before placing her in the patrol car. From the back seat, she asks the officer to take her home and tells him she is in school to become a teacher.

All parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
