A quick trip to the tire shop shouldn’t end with you being stranded in another city overnight. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to one woman after a Discount Tire employee broke the key to her grandfather’s Ford Bronco.
TikTok creator KCBRNCO (@kaysbronco) brought her Bronco to Discount Tire after experiencing an issue with one of its tires. The truck was especially important to her because she’d purchased it from her grandfather less than a month earlier.
However, things went wrong when an employee apparently confused the Bronco’s door key with its ignition key. The employee then tried starting the truck with the wrong key, causing it to snap inside the ignition.
To make matters worse, the woman had traveled from another city and was supposed to work at 4 p.m. Instead, she spent the afternoon waiting for a locksmith and eventually had to call out of work.

In her TikTok video, the woman explains that Discount Tire initially told her a locksmith would arrive within an hour. However, two hours passed without any updates, leaving her wondering when she’d finally be able to leave.
When the locksmith eventually arrived, he explained that he couldn’t make a replacement key for the Bronco. By then, it was already 4:15 p.m., and the woman had to figure out where she could get another key made.
She eventually spoke with the manager because she didn’t feel comfortable paying for the tire service after everything that happened. Unfortunately, the issue couldn’t be resolved that evening, forcing her to leave the Bronco at Discount Tire and stay overnight in the city.
