Well, there goes any chance of handling this without getting insurance involved.
A suspected drunk driver in Washington rear-ended a Kia Soul with his Dodge Durango, sending the smaller vehicle into a building. That building happened to house an Allstate insurance office.
The collision happened November 3, 2026, in Silverdale, Washington. According to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was stopped at a traffic light near Silverdale Way NW and Anderson Hill Road NW when the Durango struck her Kia from behind.
Deputies arrested the Durango’s driver, a 49-year-old Port Orchard man, on suspicion of driving under the influence. The sheriff’s office reported that his blood alcohol concentration was .205, more than two and a half times Washington’s legal limit of .08.

The impact pushed the Kia off the roadway and into the building’s entrance area. A photograph released by the sheriff’s office shows the car perched on a concrete retaining wall, its front end raised against the structure. Despite the unusual resting place, authorities reported no injuries.
The insurance-office detail wasn’t included in the sheriff’s initial description of the crash. However, publicly available emergency dispatch audio reviewed by Guessing Headlights identifies the building as an Allstate location.
During the radio exchange, a dispatcher identifies the crash location, then clarifies, “This is going to be actually at the Allstate.” A subsequent transmission describes the gray Kia Soul as the vehicle that struck the building, with the black Dodge Durango remaining at the scene.
Allstate’s business directory lists an insurance agency operated by Joseph Del Grosso at 9201 Silverdale Way NW, matching the location described in the sheriff’s account.
The photograph also shows how the Kia ended up in such an unusual position. Its front end is elevated against the building, with the vehicle resting partly on the concrete retaining wall. The rear of the car appears comparatively intact from the available angle, although photographs alone cannot establish the full extent of the damage.
Driver Arrested on Suspicion of DUI
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies arrested the 49-year-old Durango driver following the collision. Authorities have not publicly disclosed what the man told deputies afterward or provided a detailed reconstruction explaining the collision.
Emergency dispatch audio indicates that one occupant requested medical assistance. The sheriff’s office subsequently reported that nobody was injured.
The crash drew attention on the sheriff’s Facebook page, where commenters remarked on the Kia’s unusual position against the building and the coincidence of its ending up at an insurance office.
Authorities have not released additional details about the damage to the building or the circumstances that led to the crash.
All parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
