Karma Automotive is best known for its sleek luxury sedans and unconventional hybrid powertrains. Now, the American automaker has unveiled something much more extreme, complete with a massive V8 engine and enough power to embarrass some serious supercars.

Called the Eximius 1, this wild four-seater made its debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. It is the first creation from Karma’s new bespoke vehicle program, which allows wealthy customers to commission completely unique cars.

The project began when an existing Karma Revero owner approached the company looking for something much more aggressive. Rather than simply upgrading the styling, Karma decided to transform the luxury sedan into a track-focused machine.

The result is a striking one-off that combines a 6.2-liter V8 with an electrified powertrain producing nearly 1,200 horsepower. Despite its dramatic appearance, the Eximius 1 is still being developed ahead of its scheduled delivery in 2027.

The biggest surprise sits beneath the hood, where Karma has replaced the Revero’s small three-cylinder engine with a 6.2-liter V8. According to Karma, the plug-in series-hybrid powertrain combines a 6.2-liter V8 rated at 550 horsepower with an electric system contributing another 645 horsepower.

That adds up to a claimed 1,195 horsepower, with Karma targeting a 0–60 mph time of 2.7 seconds. The company also estimates a top speed exceeding 200 mph, although those figures are unverified.

To handle the performance, the Eximius 1 features Öhlins semi-active suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted rotors. It also rides on lightweight 21-inch magnesium wheels with center-lock hubs.

Aggressive Styling To Match The Performance

The Eximius 1 looks significantly angrier than the Revero that inspired it, thanks to wider fenders, massive air intakes, and extensive carbon-fiber construction. Its body is roughly two inches wider, while a prominent rear wing and diffuser emphasize its track-focused intentions.

Borealis Blue paint contrasts with exposed carbon fiber, creating a distinctive finish across the bodywork. Side-mounted exhaust outlets and dramatic lighting signatures complete the transformation.

Inside, the four-seat cabin features Recaro carbon-fiber bucket seats, blue Alcantara, and plenty of exposed carbon fiber. There’s even an emergency kill switch and a specially fitted racing helmet secured between the rear seats.

A New Level Of Personalization

The Eximius 1 introduces Karma’s bespoke program, allowing customers to work directly with designers and engineers on unique bodywork, performance upgrades, and powertrains.

Each commission is intended to be a one-of-one creation, with no identical examples produced. Karma hasn’t revealed the price or identity of the Eximius 1’s owner.

Whatever the price, a V8 hybrid pushing 1,200 horsepower with four seats and genuine track-focused hardware is certainly an unusual way to demonstrate what the company can build.
