Incredible dashcam footage has emerged on Reddit showing a biker having to stop a woman who had just run into a 77-year-old man and tried to flee the scene. The video was uploaded to the r/dashcams subreddit by user 386attention.

It is one of just many dashcam videos that are available in the subreddit. These videos often showcase the absolute worst when it comes to people’s driving, be it footage like this, running red lights, or causing accidents by not paying attention to where they are going. It is quite shocking how bad some of the footage is.

The video from Reddit shows a silver sedan knocking over an elderly gentleman who looked to be trying to cross a road. The biker that the camera is attached to then gives chase to the car that hit the gentleman and tries to confront the driver.

Knowing she was in trouble, the driver of the car attempted to make a getaway. However, this driver wasn’t having any of it, and he chased after her, determined to let her know just how wrong she was to not only hit the poor guy, but also drive away.

The Car Just Runs Straight Into the Elderly Gentleman

In the footage, the camera zooms in on a car turning left as a man is crossing the road. He is nearly at the other side of the road, but for whatever reason, the silver sedan just ploughs straight into him. The woman driving the car seemingly doesn’t care, and we see the poor guy just fall straight onto the ground.

It looks like a hard hit as well, and our motorcycle rider clearly wasn’t happy with what they saw. So they instantly pursue the car as it tries to carry on down the road. The bike shoots past the car and gets in front, trying to get the woman at the wheel to stop. She clearly realized what was going on, and then tried to turn down another road in an effort to avoid the motorcyclist who was chasing her.

We see her turn down a road after mounting a sidewalk, clearly desperate to get away from the motorcyclist. While you can argue that the manner of the chase is quite aggressive, there really was no need for the driver of the car to hit the poor man in the first place. It is easy to understand why the motorcycle rider was so upset and frustrated by what they had just seen.

It amounted to a hit-and-run, and the woman didn’t even stop to apologize and try to help the old man back onto his feet.

The Biker Eventually Cornered the Car’s Driver

The woman was eventually cornered when she came to a stop in traffic at a red light. There is an unusual scuffle that then follows as the biker gets off their motorcycle and goes over to confront the woman. We can hear some swearing and shouting as they argue, and it appears that the biker tried to get into the car to take her keys, clearly unhappy that she was actually allowed to drive her car.

The video naturally drew plenty of comments on Reddit. At the time of writing, the video had 32,000 upvotes and 1,300 comments.

One comment read, “Yeah, he’s got it on camera. Driver is already going to be legally toasted.”

“More productive (and safer) at that point to stick around, make sure grandpa is OK, then hand the footage to the cops,” another added.
