A man has said that he has discovered a major money-saving hack after initially finding a part at AutoZone for $120 for his car. TikTok user Trevor Gross (@dacheezit) took to the platform to reveal his loophole.
Gross said he had gone into the AutoZone store to buy a fuel pump for his car and that, without taxes, the part was $112, which rose to $120 with taxes. However, Gross said that if you got your hands on a commercial account number, then you could buy a part for a fraction of the price.
Gross said he put the part on a commercial account that a guy had posted on Facebook for people to use. That brought the price right down, with the cost of the part now $64.90, nearly half of what it was without the commercial account.
The person who posted the commercial account on Facebook also said that the more it is used, the bigger the discounts. So he said that as many people as possible should use it, so both he and they could get a discount on some car parts.

“Put it on their commercial account; this guy has his commercial account and information posted on Facebook. Because the more you spend, the more money he saves. So he wants everybody to spend on his account,” said Gross. The TikTok user said nearly half the price was slashed on the product, and he also posted a screenshot of the Facebook post in the video.
The post came from Auto Parts Angle and included the commercial account number and a message from the account holder. “Half Price Automotive. The more I buy, the bigger the discounts, so use it, and you can usually get a decent discount on items,” said the account holder. “Soon will have dealers set up as well, only working with Chevy now. Hope it helps you,” they added.
Commenters on the video confirmed that using corporate discount codes is a great way to save money, even if you are not affiliated with the company. Someone also said that this practice is quite common in the automotive industry, and that any business owner can get a commercial account, even if they don’t work in the automotive industry. There Are Things To Be Wary Of
Despite the benefits of the commercial account, there are a few things to be wary of. One of those is the warranty, which lies with the account holder and not those who have bought the part. However, if you quote the account number at the shop, that will give you access to the warranty benefits. There are also concerns about sharing the commercial account numbers.
There are restrictions on the AutoZone website that note what commercial account holders can and can’t do. An account can be suspended or banned if its details are shared with unauthorized individuals. So if you do use an account this way, while you may save some money, it could also land you in trouble if the details are shared too widely.
