A Florida woman wanted on drug trafficking and other charges was finally booked into jail after authorities tracked her down in Nebraska months after she allegedly fled from deputies and struck an officer with her vehicle.

Jessica Melissa Borysiewicz, 46, was booked into the Monroe County Jail on Sept. 13 after being extradited from Nebraska. She faces charges including fentanyl trafficking, cocaine possession and sales, fleeing and eluding, and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Special Operations Detectives began investigating Borysiewicz in January 2025 over suspected drug sales. She was arrested on drug-related charges in June 2025, but investigators say she bonded out of jail and went back to selling drugs.

Detectives continued investigating Borysiewicz and eventually obtained additional warrants to arrest her.

Traffic Stop Turns Into a Pursuit

Deputies attempted to arrest Borysiewicz during a traffic stop on Ramrod Key in February 2026. Instead of stopping, Borysiewicz allegedly fled from deputies and struck one with her vehicle during the pursuit. The deputy suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Borysiewicz eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, avoiding arrest at the time. Additional warrants were later obtained stemming from the pursuit, adding to the charges she was already facing.

Borysiewicz would eventually be arrested by authorities in Scottsbluff County, Nebraska, last month before being extradited back to Monroe County and booked into jail on Sept. 13.

A Slew of Charges

Her booking records show a total bond of $200,000. She faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking in fentanyl involving four grams or more, cocaine possession, cocaine sales within 1,000 feet of a specified location, fleeing and eluding with lights and sirens activated, and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

Borysiewicz also faces multiple counts of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony and resisting an officer without violence.

The trafficking charge alleges that Borysiewicz possessed at least four grams of fentanyl, while the cocaine-related charges stem from the Sheriff’s Office investigation into her alleged drug sales. After allegedly escaping the attempted arrest on Ramrod Key in February, Borysiewicz remained wanted until Nebraska authorities arrested her and began the extradition process.

She is now being held in Monroe County on the outstanding charges. Borysiewicz is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
