A truly bizarre story recently emerged showing a delivery driver tossing a package out in front of someone’s home, breaking the brand-new Apple iPhone that was inside the package. A video of the incident was reshared online via X, showing the phone being tossed out of a car.
Delivery drivers often come under intense criticism. There are a huge number of videos online that show them mishandling packages, either by throwing them on the ground, kicking them, or disregarding warning labels on the side. Videos of these incidents often go viral.
Sometimes, delivery drivers don’t even get out of the vehicle they are in. They will simply pull up to the house or residence of the customer and toss packages out onto the ground for them to pick up. That is exactly what has happened in this situation, much to the annoyance of the customer.
In the video, the delivery driver is seen pulling up to the customer’s house. They then reach in to grab the package, only to not get out of the car and throw it out the window. The video gained a huge number of views on X and led to plenty of comments.
What Can We See in the Video?

In the clip that has gone viral, we can see a Kia Soul pulling up outside someone’s house. The footage was apparently captured on the homeowner’s security camera, but she is in full view of the camera. The delivery driver does not pull into the driveway, nor does she even open the door of the car she is driving.
The woman behind the wheel then opens the window of the Kia and tosses a package out of the window and right onto the concrete driveway. Incredibly, she wasn’t finished yet. She reaches into the Kia and grabs another package before throwing that one out of the window as well. We then see her grab a phone and take a picture of the ‘delivered’ packages, presumably to provide proof of delivery.
The X user who posted the video stated that one of these two packages contained a new iPhone. When the woman who had ordered it opened it up, it is alleged that she found the phone broken. Unsure as to how it happened, she then went back to her security camera footage, where she saw the two packages being thrown out of the car, which would explain the damage.
Delivery Driver Problems Are Sadly Quite Common

Sadly for those ordering online, situations like this are too common. Fox News recently detailed one of these incidents, where a delivery driver had been caught throwing a package onto a homeowner’s concrete porch, thanks to a Ring doorbell camera. The driver in this instance simply took a picture of what they had done and then walked away from the house.
The report from Fox said that the customer had been shocked by how their package had been handled. This doesn’t just happen in the United States either. There have been plenty of instances in the UK of delivery drivers from private companies doing similar things with packages, or marking them as ‘left in a safe space’ when they are on full display and could easily be stolen.
