Flock camera vandalism has been making headlines as people demand greater privacy amid the growing use of surveillance technology by law enforcement agencies for safety and security purposes.
People have long opposed the idea of constant surveillance, but concerns have intensified following reports of law enforcement officers allegedly using the databases for personal reasons and to monitor others.
Incidents involving vandalized Flock cameras have been reported in several states where the technology is in use. Now, a woman who was away on vacation said she returned to her home in Cincinnati, Ohio, to find that a Flock camera near her house had been vandalized.
She later reported seeing a black SUV with tinted windows parked near her home. The woman believes it may be a fleet vehicle and suspects that someone inside could have been monitoring her, although she did not establish who was inside the vehicle or why it was there.
Woman Opposes Surveillance

A post on X by Victor Bigham details the story of a woman who believes the occupants of the SUV have been watching her. The Flock camera near her house was vandalized while she was away from home, and she appears to oppose the idea of being under constant surveillance. The post read:
“Apparently the Flock camera closest to my house was vandalized while I was on vacation, and now a heavily tinted “fleet” vehicle is parked two houses down. I like to think the agent watching me is named Richard, because you have to be a real Dick to track a mom who makes candles and avoids people.
“Also, why is the entire windshield blacked out? I thought if you had nothing to hide, you had nothing to fear
“I will continue loudly opposing the surveillance state and celebrating every camera that meets an unfortunate fate. Carry on, compadres. Edit to add: I’m not suicidal 🤣😂😂” [sic]
“Report That Vehicle”
The lack of quotation marks in the post makes it unclear where the woman’s message ends. However, her belief that someone was watching her from the SUV is concerning. Thus, users in the comments section have asked her to “report that vehicle.” One user wrote, “If you see a strange vehicle hanging around report the suspicious vehicle to police.”
Another user wrote, “The tint on that vehicle looks darker than legally allowed. Call in the cops.” One user stated that the black SUV may not be a fleet vehicle, “Is that a Toyota 4Runner? I’ve never seen the government use Japanese vehicle. Hopefully you’re just being paranoid.” [sic]
A user commented along similar lines, “Looks like a neighbor got a new 4Runner, definitely not a “fleet” vehicle. LoL.” While the SUV may not actually be a fleet vehicle, the woman’s concerns should not be taken lightly, especially if she felt she was being monitored.
In such situations, the best course of action would be to report the vehicle to the police so they can determine whether there is a legitimate reason for it being there.
