A person doesn’t have to know a whole lot about cars to know that a Rolls-Royce is incredibly expensive. In fact, the company only makes about 5,500 cars a year to keep them exclusive and to maintain their deep customization, which is done where they’re built.
However, just because they’re incredibly expensive does not mean they’re immune to accidents, any more than every other car is. In what looks to be a European country, a driver was handling a Rolls-Royce SUV when the unthinkable happened.
He hit the front-right headlight on a barrier that was originally meant to sink into the floor to avoid collisions with passing cars. However, in this incident, not only was the front-right fender broken, but the accident also caused a leak in the engine.
The people who this happened to either don’t understand the severity of what just happened or have too much money to care.
The Damage Was Worse Than Just a Broken Fender

The video starts with the Rolls-Royce SUV hitting a metal barrier that looks as though it was supposed to sink into the ground when a car is detected. As a result, an internal part of the vehicle as severely punctured.
A red, syrup-like liquid can then be seen pooling beneath the vehicle, near where the damage occurred. While this is happening, people in the area can be seen pulling their phones out and recording the incident.
You can then see various people trying to fix the broken fender and assess the clean-up damage from the oil. There was so much of it that even after the SUV drove to a safe location to drop off its passengers, it ran over some of the oil, causing someone to slip and nearly fall.
Commenters Couldn’t Resist Roasting the Luxury SUV
Plenty of commenters were quick to dunk on the Rolls-Royce itself. One person wrote, “The sensors in my FORD would’ve alerted me 5 feet away.”
Similarly, another person wrote, “I would expect a car that expensive to be a little more solid.” For context, a brand new Rolls-Royce can cost anywhere between $400,000 and $600,000.
The video also serves as a reminder to those who cannot afford expensive cars that even the most luxurious of vehicles can still be just as easily damaged.
