A damaged car sat beside a splintered utility pole, but its driver had another way to get around. According to a Facebook post by Sarah Andrews, he pulled out a scooter and left.
Andrews said the crash happened outside her apartments and credited a neighbor with recording the footage. Her caption describes the unusual exit: “A guy hit a power pole out front of my apartments, got out, popped out a scooter, and LEFT!”
Images from the scene show a sedan with heavy damage across its front end. Beside it, a wooden pole leans sharply, with broken wood scattered around its splintered base.
The video does not identify the location. Andrews’ Facebook profile lists Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, as her hometown, though that does not confirm where the crash happened.

In the images accompanying Andrews’ post, the car’s trunk is raised and its driver’s door stands open. A person is beside the open door, while another frame shows a person standing on a small scooter near the road.
A chain-link fence runs along the crash scene, above a low retaining wall. Across the street are a paved parking area and buildings, with utility lines crossing overhead.
Readers focused on the scooter and the small details of the departure. One commenter wrote, “I like how he makes sure the trunk is closed lol,” while another joked that the driver must have had an important job and could not afford to be late.
Those comments offer reactions rather than an explanation for the crash. Neither the supplied caption nor the images establish what caused the car to strike the pole.
One reader summed up the change in transportation with a short reply: “Seems legit back to scooter life.”
