Finding a low-mileage Fox-body ‘Stang is getting increasingly difficult. However, a 1988 Ford Mustang GT convertible showing just 672 miles on its odometer is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer.

The Mustang has spent most of its life away from the road. Its exceptionally low mileage and history with just one registered owner make it an unusual example of Ford’s popular third-generation pony car.

Unlike some collectible Mustangs that have been extensively modified, this GT has its original appearance and factory equipment. It also has a five-speed manual transmission paired with Ford’s familiar 5.0-liter V8.

The car is being offered by a dealer in Massachusetts, accompanied by documentation that includes a Deluxe Marti Report and a clean Carfax history. Its New Jersey title also carries an actual-mileage notation.

The exterior combines Oxford White paint with Titanium accents, blue side stripes, and a matching white convertible top. Other details include fog lights, a rear luggage rack, and 15-inch alloy wheels wearing Goodyear tires.

Inside, the Mustang features Oxford White leather sport seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows and locks. There’s also a premium sound system with an AM/FM cassette stereo, giving the cabin plenty of authentic 1980s character.

The interior isn’t entirely flawless, however, as the listing photographs show an issue with the driver’s door upholstery. Even with its low mileage, this Mustang isn’t completely free of age-related imperfections.

Under the hood is Ford’s naturally aspirated 302-cubic-inch (5.0-liter) V8, which was factory-rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Those figures might seem modest today, but the Fox-body Mustang GT was a serious performance car in its era.

Power goes to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential with 2.73:1 gearing. The car also features Ford’s factory Handling Suspension Package, power steering, front disc brakes, and rear drums.

According to the included Marti Report, the Mustang was built on February 4, 1988. The sale also includes the owner’s manual, service manuals, and a convertible top boot.

At the time of writing, bidding had reached $23,000, with three days remaining in the auction. With just 672 miles showing on the odometer, this Mustang could attract serious attention from collectors looking for an exceptionally well-preserved Fox-body.

For anyone looking for a Fox-body Mustang that hasn’t spent decades accumulating miles, this white GT convertible is certainly worth a closer look.
