Cadillac built just 915 examples of the CT6-V for the U.S. market, and one of these rare performance sedans is now up for auction. The 2019 model is listed on Cars & Bids, giving enthusiasts a chance to own one of Cadillac’s most unusual modern creations.
Not to be confused with the current 6.2-liter supercharged V8 found in the CT5-V Blackwing, the CT6-V has a hand-built 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged Blackwing V8 that was developed specifically for Cadillac. Despite its impressive performance, the engine disappeared almost as quickly as it arrived, with high production costs and the CT6’s cancellation cutting its career short.
The CT6-V arrived in 2019, just as GM was preparing to discontinue several of its sedans. Production of the CT6 ended in 2020, and the original Blackwing V8 never found its way into another model line.
The example currently for sale is finished in Crystal White Tricoat with a Jet Black interior and has covered approximately 49,800 miles. It remains largely original, with the seller reporting no notable modifications apart from tinted windows.
A Rare Cadillac With A Very Special V8

The CT6-V’s Blackwing engine produces 550 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque, sending power to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Cadillac claimed the sedan could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.8 seconds.
Unlike Cadillac’s more familiar small-block V8s, the Blackwing was a bespoke design featuring twin-scroll turbochargers, forged connecting rods, and a forged crankshaft. A less powerful version was also offered in the CT6 Platinum, which produced 500 horsepower and 574 lb-ft of torque.
The Blackwing name eventually returned on the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing, although neither uses this particular engine. That makes the CT6-V an unusual piece of Cadillac performance history.
Loaded With Luxury Features

This example comes equipped with 20-inch Midnight Silver wheels, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and dual sunroofs. Inside, it features heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a Bose Panaray sound system.
Its condition isn’t perfect, however. The listing mentions exterior chips and scratches, bumper scuffs, wheel curb rash, and some wear on the driver’s seat bolster.
The Carfax report also records minor damage incidents in 2020 and 2025, with repair documentation provided. Recent maintenance includes fluid changes in October 2025 and replacement tires fitted earlier that year.
How Much Will This Rare Cadillac Sell For?

At the time of writing, bidding had reached $27,750 with 12 bids placed. The Cars & Bids auction is scheduled to end on October 29, 2026.
The seller also lists an Ally Premier Protection plan valid until March 2029 or 87,829 miles, subject to its terms. With bidding already underway, we’ll soon find out how much buyers are willing to pay for one of Cadillac’s rarest modern performance sedans.
