Take TikToker @mechanicaldiary, for example; he shares the wild stories that he sees at work, documenting them for his followers. In his latest video, he showed off a truck that had seen better days.
The pickup was up on the lift when the video began, and the mechanic walked around testing the wheels while someone filmed him. While the front driver’s side wheel was exactly as you’d expect, the passenger side wheel was a completely different story.
Now, he’s asking how the owner could’ve driven the truck into the shop in that condition. Meanwhile, the people in the comments have a lot of funny takes on what the owner will say when the driver finds out just how much work the truck will likely need.

According to @mechanicaldairy, the driver drove their truck to the shop complaining of a “little vibration” in the front. But when the TikToker went to the passenger side to check the wheel, he was able to shake the wheel assembly loose.
Someone could be heard laughing in the background while another mechanic said, “Um, they drove it here like this.”
Commenters Think the Driver Will Balk at the Costly Fix
In the comments, people, some of whom may be mechanics themselves based on their responses, couldn’t help but joke about how unlikely it was that the driver would believe that the truck needed work.
“Probably just needs new windshield wipers and an oil change and it’ll be good to go,” one person wrote.
“Don’t try to upcharge me; I just paid for all that to be replaced, y’all must of switch the parts out,” another chimed in.

It’s Dangerous to Drive With Loose Wheels
While automotive repairs can be pricey, forcing a lot of people to put them off until they absolutely can’t wait any longer, there are some issues can endanger you and others on the road if left unaddressed.
According to Complete Automotive Repair Specialists, that includes loose wheels. The website says that this can put stress on the wheels, causing them to break. It can also do a lot of damage to the brakes and suspension, since the vibrations can cause the brakes to wear unevenly. Total wheel detachment can also happen, which the website calls a “nightmare scenario.”
Granted, the issue with the truck in the TikToker’s video extends well beyond a loose wheel, but this video does serve as a reminder of the importance of making sure that your car gets looked at when you suspect there is something wrong with the wheels or brakes.
