Richard Rawlings is getting ready to clear out a substantial portion of his personal car collection, and collectors will soon have a chance to take home some interesting machinery. The Gas Monkey Garage founder has teamed up with Bring a Trailer for an auction featuring classic cars, custom builds, motorcycles, and automotive memorabilia.
According to Rawlings, roughly 20 to 25 vehicles are heading to auction, with almost everything offered without a reserve price. That means the highest bidder could potentially walk away with a bargain, although there’s no guarantee these cars will sell cheaply.
The auctions are scheduled to begin on October 22, 2026, with bidding closing on October 29. Rawlings recently previewed several of the vehicles in a video published on the Gas Monkey Garage YouTube channel.
Naturally, selling so many cars at once could raise questions about the future of his business. However, Rawlings insists there’s nothing unusual happening and says he’s simply making room for his next round of automotive purchases.
Everything From American Muscle To Tiny Microcars

One of the collection’s standouts is a heavily customized 1963 Chevrolet Impala featuring a supercharged Texas Speed 408 LS-based V8. It also boasts elaborate engraving, custom upholstery, and an extensive sound system.
At the opposite end of the spectrum sits a beautifully restored 1957 BMW Isetta. Rawlings jokingly recalled accidentally buying the tiny German microcar twice after forgetting he’d already consigned it to an auction.
There’s also a customized 1974 Volkswagen Thing with lowered suspension, aftermarket wheels, and a textured Rhino-lined paint finish. For something closer to traditional American muscle, buyers can consider a restored 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S with a 383 big-block V8 and four-speed manual transmission.
Low-Mileage Survivors And Unusual Customs

Another highlight is a green 1968 Ford Mustang coupe with a six-cylinder engine and factory air conditioning. Rawlings claims the car has just 1,036 documented original miles and is remarkably well preserved.
A black 1987 Chevrolet Corvette is another low-mileage offering, showing approximately 1,600 original miles. Rawlings says it still wears its factory tires and has its original specifications.
Other vehicles include a refurbished 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger pickup and an elaborate 1977 custom show van featuring a 440-cubic-inch V8 and pirate-themed artwork. Vintage Harley-Davidson dealership signage is also included among the collectibles.
Rawlings Already Has His Next Purchases In Mind

Rawlings explained that he conducted a similar collection sale around three years ago, generating roughly $800,000 to $900,000 before reinvesting the proceeds in other vehicles. This time, he’s hoping to repeat the process.
His dream purchases include a Lamborghini Miura and Ferrari Monza SP2, although both command substantial prices. Bidding opens on October 22 and closes on October 29, giving collectors a week to compete for some of Rawlings’ favorite automotive toys.
