This Menacing 760-HP Shelby GT500 Has Just 1,320 Miles, And It’s Up For Grabs

Finding a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with barely any miles on the odometer is always interesting, especially when it’s equipped with the desirable Carbon Fiber Track Package. One particularly striking example has surfaced for sale, combining supercharged V8 performance with a sinister black-and-white appearance.

This 2020 Shelby GT500 is currently being offered by Vanguard Motor Sales, with just 1,320 miles (2,124 km) showing on the odometer. Finished in Shadow Black with painted Oxford White racing stripes, it looks every bit as aggressive as its performance figures suggest.

Underneath that sculpted hood sits Ford’s mighty 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8, producing 760 horsepower. It’s the kind of engine that helped establish the GT500 as one of the most formidable factory-built Mustangs of its generation.

This GT500 was also fitted with the optional Carbon Fiber Track Package, which transforms an already serious performance car into something even better suited for circuit driving. With its expensive lightweight components and remarkably low mileage, this Shelby has plenty going for it.

The GT500’s hand-built 5.2-liter supercharged V8 sends its 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft (847 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels through a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A limited-slip rear differential with a 3.73:1 final-drive ratio helps put that power to the pavement.

The car also features Brembo brakes with large two-piece ventilated rotors, an active quad-tip exhaust, and selectable driving modes. Vanguard’s accompanying walkaround video reveals an aftermarket JLT cold-air intake, although the dealership doesn’t claim any increase over the factory horsepower rating.

Carbon Fiber Track Package Makes It Special

The optional Carbon Fiber Track Package originally cost $18,500 and included 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. It also brought an aggressive carbon-fiber rear wing, Recaro front bucket seats, and a rear-seat delete.

This example also wears painted Oxford White stripes, an expensive factory option that Vanguard says added approximately $10,000 to the original price. Together with the Shadow Black paintwork, they give the Shelby an unmistakable appearance.

Inside, the cabin features Alcantara trim, paddle shifters, and the optional Technology Package. Equipment includes a Bang & Olufsen audio system and blind-spot monitoring, balancing the GT500’s track-focused character with everyday conveniences.

Low Mileage Comes At A Price

Vanguard Motor Sales is asking $134,900 for this Shelby GT500, a substantial sum for a six-year-old Mustang. However, its Carbon Fiber Track Package, painted stripes, and exceptionally low mileage help explain the premium asking price.

The dealership’s walkaround video also shows a remarkably clean undercarriage, with minimal visible wear. Whether the next owner plans to preserve its low-mileage status or finally unleash those 760 horses, this Shelby certainly deserves a closer look.
