Police returned to a New Jersey massage business for the second time in seven months and arrested a woman on a prostitution-related charge, months after two other women were charged following an earlier search.
The latest search unfolded Thursday at Waterfall Therapy in Mays Landing, where officers found roughly $10,000 in cash concealed above the ceiling, according to NBC10 Philadelphia.
Body-worn camera footage obtained by the station shows officers entering the business and taking 54-year-old Jianhong Li of Queens, New York, into custody.
Li was charged with promoting prostitution. The charge is an accusation and is not a finding of guilt.

Township of Hamilton police had previously searched Waterfall Therapy in March, when two women were charged with prostitution-related offenses.
Detective Erich Thumhart told NBC10 that police initially believed the first search would stop the operation. Instead, he said normal business activity appeared to resume about a week later.
During Thursday’s search, police said they recovered items that would not ordinarily be associated with a legitimate massage or bodywork business. They also located the cash inside a drop ceiling.
As of Friday morning, Waterfall Therapy’s own website was still displaying language advertising a “Happy Ending” alongside its massage services.
An employee contacted by NBC10 maintained that the business offered massages only and did not provide sexual services.
An Earlier Trail
Waterfall Therapy had appeared in a state investigation years before the two 2026 police searches.
A 2024 New Jersey State Commission of Investigation report examining questionable activity in the state’s massage industry identified Chun Yong Evans as the registered agent for Waterfall Therapy Day Spa.
The Commission found that another man’s home address appeared under Evans’ name in the company’s registration records, a discrepancy the SCI said raised questions about the legitimacy of the business arrangement.
The same report said Evans had been associated with multiple New Jersey massage businesses and had previously served seven months in federal prison following a 2008 conviction involving conspiracy, prostitution and human trafficking connected to a Pennsylvania massage business.
Still Unresolved
Police are now examining whether the activity uncovered at Waterfall Therapy has any connection to human trafficking.
No such connection has been established.
Detectives also told NBC10 that determining who actually owns the business has been difficult, an issue that takes on additional significance in light of the registration discrepancies documented by the SCI two years earlier.
Police said the latest investigation remains ongoing.
