Texas DPS recently shared a video of a driver fleeing from a trooper on August 22, 2026, and eventually going through a gate at the San Antonio International Airport. The chase started around 1:30 a.m. near Loop 410 and Babcock Road.
DPS says the driver went through a gate off Jones Maltsberger Road before the car ended up on the airfield. They just released dashcam video of the chase on social media.
In the video, the Chrysler goes through the gate, stops, and the driver gets out with his hands raised.
DPS identified him as 25-year-old Brandon Christopher Figueroa of Refugio, Texas. Bexar County records now show five felony cases connected to the same DPS investigation.

The newly released dashcam video begins as the Chrysler heads toward the airport. A DPS vehicle is following close behind.
The car goes through the gate and makes it onto airport property, but eventually stops. Figueroa gets out with both hands in the air while troopers move toward the car. DPS said a firearm was also found inside.
When DPS first shared information about the arrest in August, the agency listed evading arrest in a motor vehicle and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
The Court Records List Five Felony Cases
Bexar County court records show five felony cases with the same August 22 offense date, including evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
A third case lists possession of a Penalty Group 1 or 1-B controlled substance weighing at least one gram but less than four grams, but it did not name the substance.
Another case involves tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair. The fifth is criminal mischief involving at least $30,000 but less than $150,000.
All five are listed as third-degree felonies. Court records show Texas DPS as the arresting agency in each case.
One Case Has Already Been Dismissed
Another case was connected to the August 22 arrest. He was charged with criminal trespass with a deadly weapon, a Class A misdemeanor. However, Bexar County records show it was dismissed on September 4 for further investigation.
On September 1, the court kept the existing bonds in place and denied requests for a personal recognizance bond, citing his prior arrest history and the circumstances of the arrest.
The next date listed in all five felony cases is December 3. Each has a pre-indictment setting scheduled that morning before Judge Miguel Najera.
