Substitute Teacher Says OnlyFans Cost Her Job — Then She Thought She Was Barred From Her Child’s School

Sheena Sittner expected that the adult-content account she said she had maintained for more than two years might eventually collide with her work as a substitute teacher in suburban St. Louis. What she did not expect was a second problem after that collision arrived: an instruction from her employer telling her not to contact schools or districts.

Sittner told KTVI reporter Chris Hayes that someone had apparently found her OnlyFans account after years of it existing alongside her substitute work. She described her teaching career as over, although the employment emails she shared with the station showed a more specific status: suspension pending termination.

The distinction matters because Sittner was not employed directly by Parkway School District. Parkway says it partners with Kelly Education for substitute teachers and several other substitute roles, with Kelly handling hiring, training and scheduling. That made the warning about contacting schools a directive from her employer, not a district order barring her from school property.

There was another role in the mix, too. Sittner has a child enrolled in the district, and she initially understood the no-contact instruction to mean she could no longer volunteer or participate at her child’s school. After KTVI asked both Kelly and the district about that concern, each drew a line between her professional status and her rights as a parent.

The Line In Question

The email Sittner shared with KTVI told her, “Please refrain from contacting any school or districts.” She said she read that language as reaching beyond substitute assignments and into her life as a parent.

That was the part she said bothered her most. Sittner told the station she could find another job and deal with criticism, but objected to the possibility that the employment dispute could affect her children or keep her from volunteering.

Kelly later told KTVI that the instruction applied only to Sittner’s professional role. The company said it did not restrict her participation in her child’s education.

Two Different Roles

Parkway gave KTVI the same basic answer from the district side. A spokesperson said Sittner should be treated like any other parent and could volunteer and participate because she had passed a background check and completed the required online safety training.

That clarification separated two questions that had initially been bundled together: whether Kelly would continue sending Sittner into classrooms as a substitute, and whether Parkway would allow her to enter the district as a parent. The first remained an employment matter. The second, according to both Kelly and Parkway, was not restricted by the suspension notice.

Sittner also acknowledged that she had always known her online work could eventually be discovered. “Whatever you put online, it’s on there forever,” she told KTVI.

The Pay Question

Sittner framed the dispute partly around substitute-teacher pay, telling KTVI, “If teachers were paid better, women wouldn’t have to resort to online content creation. Sex sells.”

A Kelly Education posting for Parkway Schools published Sept. 21 lists the regular substitute-teacher rate at $125 per day and the long-term substitute rate at $190 per day. The listing does not establish what Sittner personally earned or whether pay was her only reason for creating adult content.

For Sittner, the separation she wanted to preserve was simpler. She told KTVI that her personal life and professional life had remained separate, and said she intended to stay involved at her child’s school even if her substitute-teaching work was ending.
