I think we can all agree that parallel parking is hard. Even I, personally, use RuPaul’s popular TikTok video about how to parallel park sometimes if I am really in a bind.
But I guess even then, there are drivers out there who would prefer to choose violence when it comes to where they’re going to park. A video posted to TikTok shows a car essentially trapped between two cars in a parallel parking situation.
However, as the video continues, it becomes clearer what actually happened: someone crashed into all of them, causing them to rear-end each other. The damage looks pretty wild, too.
The incident happened near the Rowland Apartments on Fullerton Road in Rowland Heights, California. According to the video’s caption, this seems like just another day in the neighborhood.
Waking up To Smashed Cars
Please give the following TikTok video a moment to load completely.
@mr_sosa27 Another week, another set of smashed parked cars. 💥🚗🤦♂️ 📍The Rowland Apts. Fullerton Rd. Rowland Heights, CA. #carcrash #rowlandheights #therowlandapartments #parkedcars #fyp ♬ оригинальный звук – Gary – spongewarp
The video shows a line of cars in what looks to be a parking area alongside the street. The cars each have their front and rear bumpers caved in somehow, indicating an accident of some kind.
At first glance, it really does look like a parking situation gone wrong. Then, you can tell that someone likely smashed into the car in the back and then drove off after realizing the extent of the damage.
In fact, the last car in the row doesn’t look to be damaged at all, further proving my theory. Even the video’s caption reads, “Another week, another set of smashed parked cars. 💥🚗🤦♂️.”
Additional information, like if the owners called the police or if there were any suspects, was not released and, honestly, I don’t expect them to be.
Commenters Say This Stretch of Road Has a Reputation
A lot of commenters immediately focused on the final car in the clip, joking that it simply took advantage of the newly created space after the other vehicles were shoved forward. One person laughed that the driver “found himself a parking space,” while another joked that the damaged bumper probably made squeezing into the spot feel like a reasonable decision.
Others were far less surprised by the crash itself, with locals saying this apparently isn’t an isolated problem. One commenter who used to live nearby claimed wrecks were a “monthly occurrence” and said they had seen “at least 20 cars totaled,” while another said the same situation had supposedly been sitting there for an entire week.
A few people also shared their own painful experiences with parked cars being hit in the area. One commenter said it happened to them when their car had just eight miles on it, while another local said they regularly wonder “how bad of a driver people are in the area” because cars there seem to keep getting struck.
