One of my favorite things about TikTok is the fact that just about anyone has the power to record something and post it for everyone to see. As a result, there are some pretty awesome things I’ve seen on websites like TikTok that I would have never seen otherwise.
This Florida driver captured on video a small dog sitting on its owner’s motorcycle as it rides down the road. While it’s undoubtedly an adorable video, it also raises the question of whether it’s safe for the dog to be back there.
The original poster didn’t show much more than the dog happily sitting on its owner’s motorcycle, so it’s unclear if this was done on purpose or by accident.
Honestly, the dog looks as though this is something that it does every single day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the rider’s faithful companion. But, I can also understand the severity of the situation should it fall while out on the open road.
Florida Driver Spots Chihuahua Enjoying a Motorcycle Ride

The video above takes place on what looks to be some kind of busy roadway with other cars weaving through the travel lanes. The camera itself is trained on the back of a motorcycle, likely a Harley-Davidson, considering where the handlebars are placed.
On a bag placed on the back of the bike that reads Lucy is a small, white dog wearing an orange vest. It’s unclear if the vest is attached to anything or if the dog is loose.
You can hear the original poster say, “That little chihuahua just came out of the back of that bucket thing.” Even the caption reads, “Now tell me this is safe?? Pleaseee!! #notsafe #doggie #motorcycle”
Commenters Insist Lucy Is Safer Than She Looks
Tons of commenters were defending the other rider, with some saying that the dog has a harness on, writing, “She has a harness on; it’s attached inside the bag lol she’s living her best life!”
Others shared pictures of themselves with their own furry travel buddies. It seems that riders prefer small dogs so they can take them along for rides.
Whether it’s the safest way to travel is still up for debate, but judging by the comments, Lucy has already won over the internet.
