Road rage isn’t necessarily uncommon, especially so in places where there tends to be a lot of traffic. However, those places tend to be large cities in which bike lanes are also available for those who would prefer to scooter or bike to their destination.
In this video, one driver seemed to think that he was better than everyone else and decided to use the bike lane to skip the line. Unfortunately, there was a bicyclist who was in his way, and boy, did that make him unhappy.
What made him even unhappier was the fact that the cyclist had been recording the entire time as the other driver stayed on his tail. This quickly drew a crowd, and the two men got into an argument about the phone.
Of course, the situation only escalates from there, and it comes to a point where you think that the person recording might actually be in danger. Fortunately, it appears that no one was actually injured as a result of the incident.
The Cyclist Was Recording the Entire Encounter

At the beginning of the TikTok video above, you can see a driver following behind a cyclist who is riding in the bike lane. The car behind him seems to actually be going pretty fast, with the front bumper nearly touching the bike at several points.
Eventually, the bike lane ended, and the cyclist turned around to confront the driver. The driver also used this time to confront the cyclist about being in his way.
However, this is when he noticed that the cyclist had been recording the entire incident. It was unclear exactly what the cyclist was going to do with the video, but now that it’s online, it was to put this man on blast.
The Confrontation Quickly Turned Physical
After the man tried in vain to get the camera from the cyclist, the situation got a little scary. The cyclist asked people in the area to film the situation for his own protection, as it appeared that the driver began to put his hands on the cyclist.
None of this is actually visible in the video, only implied. After the argument, the bicycle was dropped on the ground, and the driver tried to use this opportunity to take it and walk back to his car.
Fortunately, the cyclist was able to retrieve his bike, but it definitely took a bit of effort on his part. The video was also clearly able to make it out, likely in hopes of being able to find the gentleman who was driving in the bike lane and putting others in danger.
Commenters Called Out the Dangerous Behavior
Commenters were just as shocked at the situation, with many actually concerned that it appears that no one was helping the cyclist. One commenter wrote, “Lack of action from everyone watching is actually ridiculous.”
Another user pointed out the obvious, writing, “I’m not from the city, so maybe I’m just wrong. But was that man driving his car in the bike lane? i’m pretty sure that’s illegal.” Similarly, another read, “The evidence just kept getting more evidencey.”
The incident serves as a reminder for drivers to be careful around cyclists, and not to drive in the bike lane (though I thought that was obvious). It is unclear if anyone has been charged as a result of the incident and no official report has been made.
