One Florida driver’s commute turned frightening after another motorist allegedly cut her off, stopped in the middle of Interstate 4, and walked toward her vehicle.
Dashcam video released by the Florida Highway Patrol captured the tense encounter, showing the driver allegedly punching the woman’s windshield during a road rage incident. The blow reportedly caused more than $1,000 in damage.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol and Tampa Bay News, the incident happened on Friday afternoon on Interstate 4 in Plant City. Troopers later tracked down the suspect and arrested him the following morning.

Dashcam Captured the Entire Confrontation
Investigators say 59-year-old Sylvester Brown, of Tampa, cut off the victim’s vehicle, forcing her to stop in the middle of Interstate 4.
The dashcam footage shows Brown getting out of his vehicle, approaching the driver’s side while yelling and then striking the windshield with his fist before walking away.
Troopers Didn’t Have to Search Long
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers identified Brown and arrested him at his Tampa home on Saturday morning.
Authorities charged him with criminal mischief and reckless driving. According to the arrest affidavit, Brown also allegedly violated probation stemming from a previous simple battery misdemeanor conviction.
Road Rage Can Escalate Quickly
Incidents like this highlight how quickly aggressive driving can turn into something far more dangerous.
Safety experts recommend avoiding eye contact, giving aggressive drivers plenty of space, and never getting out of your vehicle during a confrontation.
If you feel threatened, call 911 and, when it’s safe, drive to a public location or law enforcement agency.
