Shannon Hart, the wife of New York Knicks guard Josh Hart, had an unexpected delay on her way through San Antonio ahead of NBA Finals Game 1. Her rideshare driver, she said, had decided to sing karaoke before driving. In fact, he was so into the song that he wouldn’t put the car in motion until he was done with the song.
Shannon Hart shared the moment on her Instagram Story on Tuesday night, posting a clip that showed the driver performing inside the car. In the caption, she said the situation was about to frustrate her and asked aloud what was going on.
Hart did not say in her posts where the ride was going or how long the karaoke lasted. She did not say whether the driver ever started moving. She also did not name the rideshare company or the driver.
The encounter happened the night before the Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals. The Knicks won the game and went up 1-0 in the series. Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Friday in San Antonio.

Shannon took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night, June 2, when she posted video that appeared to show exactly what she had described: her rideshare driver singing a song inside the parked car. In her accompanying captions, Hart wrote that San Antonio was about to frustrate her and that she was unsure what was happening.
Most drivers obviously don’t sing along to the radio in a manner that’s disruptive, so it was a bit odd.
She followed up with a second note saying the driver would not put the vehicle in motion until he finished his song. Hart didn’t elaborate further on the encounter in any subsequent posts. It’s unclear if he continued to do this for subsequent trips. Hart seemingly got to her destination without additional issues.
