Body camera footage shared by X user @GigglingGanon has drawn attention to a March 2025 arrest involving Connecticut State Police and 33-year-old Electra Chiulli of Old Saybrook. The video compilation shows officers attempting to stop her at a gas station before a chase spread across several roads in eastern Connecticut.
The footage was uploaded on May 27, 2026, more than a year after the incident itself. Reports from FOX61 and CT Insider outlined the events that led to Chiulli facing 11 charges tied to the confrontation, the pursuit, and narcotics possession.
Troopers first spotted Chiulli driving a black Subaru Legacy on Route 2 in Bozrah during the afternoon of March 13, 2025. Police said the car had no front license plate and was failing to maintain its lane while traveling through the area.
Authorities already knew who they were looking for before the stop attempt. According to investigators, Chiulli had an active warrant connected to another police pursuit in Old Saybrook the week before, and troopers believed she could flee again if they did not move in to arrest her.
Troopers Corner Vehicle at Norwich Gas Station

Police followed the Subaru to a gas station on Route 97 in Norwich, where several troopers positioned their cruisers around the car in an attempt to stop Chiulli from escaping. Bodycam footage shows officers ordering her to step out while she remained inside the vehicle.
The standoff lasted several moments as troopers surrounded the Subaru and tried to gain control of the situation. Officers eventually broke the rear window in an effort to force compliance after repeated commands failed.
Investigators said Chiulli then shifted the Subaru into gear and drove into a state police cruiser. She also reversed into a gas pump before striking another cruiser while trying to leave the station.
The bodycam footage captured officers running alongside the Subaru as it pushed through the scene and entered the roadway. The video also recorded conversations between officers and Chiulli during the confrontation.
Pursuit Spreads Across Eastern Connecticut
After leaving the gas station, Chiulli drove onto I-395 North with troopers in pursuit. Police said the chase later continued onto Route 169 as officers attempted to keep up with the Subaru.
Investigators said Chiulli lost control while driving on Strnad Road in Lisbon and crashed into a guardrail. The impact stopped the vehicle, but the pursuit did not end there.
Police said she got out of the Subaru and ran into a nearby residential area on foot. Troopers, along with officers from the Montville Police Department, brought in a K-9 unit to search the area.
Authorities later found Chiulli hiding under the deck of a residence in Lisbon. Officers took her into custody there and also recovered narcotics and paraphernalia from the area where she was found.
Fentanyl Admission and Criminal Charges
Police said Chiulli admitted to swallowing fentanyl during the incident in an effort to conceal evidence from officers. Reports stated she told authorities she ingested around 15 bags while attempting to avoid arrest.
Due to concerns over the ingestion, officers transported her to a hospital before processing her on the criminal charges. Investigators later listed several narcotics-related offenses among the charges she faced after the arrest.
The charges included criminal attempt to assault a public safety officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, engaging police in pursuit, interfering with police, and multiple counts of first-degree criminal mischief. Additional charges related to narcotics possession, drug paraphernalia, traffic violations, and property damage were also filed.
