A wild video has surfaced online featuring an incredibly reckless driver who crashed and was arrested in Interstate 495 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

The pursuit began in New Hampshire, with New Hampshire State Police chasing the vehicle down on Interstate 95 near Exit 3. It was determined that the vehicle was likely wanted in connection with a traffic stop in which a driver nearly struck an officer.

New Hampshire State Police terminated the pursuit shortly before 6:00 pm on May 3, 2026. However, the vehicle was sighted in Massachusetts on 92 River Road.

At this point, Marrimac Police initiated their own pursuit of the vehicle before ultimately deploying spike strips, slowing down the vehicle, and allowing officers to apprehend the suspect.

Massachusetts Crash Ends in Arrest

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 38-year-old Roger Depina of Portland, Maine. Throughout the police chase, there were several attempts to disable the vehicle.

Stop sticks were deployed by Amesbury police at around 6:30 pm, but the vehicle was able to pass through due to its high rate of speed. It was shortly after this that the Massachusetts State Police sighted the vehicle in the Hilldale Avenue area, where police deployed the spike strips.

Even after this, the driver continued evading police. However, this ultimately resulted in the suspect crashing at approximately 6:54 pm on I-495 going southbound near Exit 107 in Haverhill.

After the vehicle was rendered unusable, the suspect attempted to flee on foot, but officers were able to use a taser to slow him down. Depina was then arrested and transported to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen by PrideStar EMS.

Police Chased Driver Across Two States

Just before the chase came to an end, various law enforcement agencies within New Hampshire and others, including the Massachusetts State Police and the Atkinson Police, witnessed the vehicle driving erratically.

Despite having crossed state lines, authorities deemed the driver’s behavior to be a significant public safety hazard.

According to radio traffic and other sources, Roger Depina has been charged in the past with weapon and drug charges. As a result of this chase, additional charges are expected to be addressed by the appropriate law enforcement agencies that were a part of it.

Reactions To Multi-Agency Pursuit

Some commenters found the initial video funny due to the poster’s reaction to the situation. One person in particular wrote, “Lmfao lady..!!! GO BLUE 💙💙💙💙!! 💙 too funny 🤣 .. 🤣” Another wrote, “I love your reaction 😂😂😂👏🏽

Currently, Roger Depina was arraigned on Monday, May 4, 2026. However, additional information concerning what he was charged with and potential fees or jail time has not been revealed.

Besides Depina being transported to a hospital for further medical assessment at the time of the incident, it appears that no one else was injured as a result of his actions.
