Light-hearted pranks that don’t injure or upset anyone can go a long way toward making people laugh and brightening their day.
But stunts performed on homeless people and on those who have been facing tough times in their lives for the sake of fun and laughter cannot be described as pranks.
Unfortunately, one man had to learn that lesson after targeting several homeless people sleeping on the streets of Houston with high-powered water guns.
Footage shared on social media shows him firing powerful streams of water directly at the faces of sleeping people, waking them in shock as he laughed.
Houston Police Department Had the Last Laugh
A video shared by ABC13 Houston on Instagram shows 34-year-old Christopher Cayce performing drive-bys with high-powered water guns, targeting strangers on the street, including homeless and disabled people.
Several people can be seen being targeted at bus stops or while walking. Being soaked all of a sudden, they were seen waking up in a state of panic, given the suddenness of the act and the force of the water.

However, Cayce was arrested by the Houston Police Department after the Major Offenders & Westside Crime Suppression Team investigated the case. The department released an official statement on X on July 2, which stated:
“HPD Major Offenders & Westside Crime Suppression Team investigated multiple cases of disabled & homeless persons who had been shot with a high-powered, motorized water gun. Cayce, who also taunted and recorded the victims, is now charged with assault bodily injury.”

Cayce Said He’s Done With Shooting People
ABC13 Eyewitness News spoke to Cayce on Friday at his residence. He could have been released from jail on bail. He is set to appear in court on July 9.
Cayce had been filming himself in Houston and Midtown, shooting water at strangers since last summer, according to the report. Now, though, following his arrest, he apologized for his acts:
“I’m totally a thousand percent sorry for this, and that’s not just saying this because I’m caught.”
Asked why he targeted vulnerable people, he said:
“In my videos, I don’t just shoot homeless people.”
In one of the videos, he lured a woman to his car for money, only to spray her in the face. In another instance, he offered a man some food and treated him the same way. Cayce, however, held a cross in his hand and revealed that he prays before leaving his house to shoot people. He said:
“I just put this in front of the door. I walk and pray every day. Every time I go out, I pray before I go and shoot these people because I really don’t want to hurt nobody.”
He claimed that the guns were set to their lowest setting, and that he feeds the homeless people, referring to a video he posted online giving away food with his daughter. He said:
“I feed these people. I gave these people $500 worth of clothes. I don’t post all my positive stuff ’cause it don’t get views. My channel algorithm was me shooting people with water guns.”
But in one of the videos, he described his targets as zombies. Explaining what that was all about, he said:
“I’m not calling them zombies because that’s what they are. It’s all commentary for the content. It’s not what I really truly mean. I love everybody genuinely.”
Now, though, fun and games are over for Cayce. He said:
“They took all my water guns. You can go buy more easily, but I told them I’m done with it. I’m not gonna shoot nobody no more.”
